About us

Nurtur-Ed started with a simple observation. Our founders were delivering wellbeing, mental health and governance training in the corporate world, helping companies strengthen their culture, policies and performance. Through family and friend connections, they saw that the same pressures were hitting schools and the education sector even harder.

Crisis

Education under pressure

Budgets were under strain. Teacher absence was rising due to stress and poor mental health. Talented staff were leaving the profession, placing even more pressure on already stretched resources. At the same time, students were struggling with anxiety, stress and low self-esteem. These challenges were not only affecting their education but also their ability to access work opportunities and further or higher education, with a knock-on impact on life chances.

Mission

The original idea

Nurtur-Ed was created to respond to this need. We became a vehicle to raise funding and provide support where it is desperately needed, for teachers, students and parents. The partnership between students, teachers and families is at the heart of our work.

Evolution

Expanding our impact

As our organisation grew, we expanded our offering to support businesses and government departments. By combining the skills of our directors in consultancy, design and social value with the expertise of our wider network of partners, we are able to deliver a broad range of training and services. This blended team includes specialists in mental health, safeguarding, policy design, cyber resilience and social impact. Together we bring the depth and flexibility needed to support organisations of all sizes.
