Who is responsible for your information?
NURTURED C.I.C., trading as NurturEd, is the controller for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15858138. Our registered office is Ground Floor, Kings House, 101-135 Kings Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM14 4DR.
Contact us at hello@nurtur-ed.com, call 03301 331 598, or write to our registered office marked “Data protection”.
This notice covers website use, enquiries and ordinary service administration. Specific training, project or safeguarding arrangements may need additional privacy information before personal information is collected. It is not a notice for a live safeguarding reporting app.
What we collect and where it comes from
- Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, enquiry type, message and subsequent correspondence.
- Service administration: relevant business contact, booking, attendance, contractual and invoicing information where you work with us.
- Information from an organisation arranging support or training: relevant contact and booking details it is authorised to provide. We explain any additional use when the arrangements are made.
- Technical information generated by the website platform, such as connection and security information needed to deliver and protect the service.
Please do not send health records, identifiable safeguarding concerns or unnecessary information about other people through the general enquiry form. Contact us first to agree an appropriate route if sensitive information is needed.
You do not have to make an enquiry. If you do, the fields marked as required allow us to understand and respond to it. Without relevant contact and enquiry details, we may be unable to help.
Why we use information
- Responding to enquiries and business contacts: our legitimate interests in answering questions, understanding requirements and managing relationships. Where you are personally entering a contract, we may instead need the information to take steps at your request or perform that contract.
- Arranging and administering agreed services: performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interests in delivering services to the organisation you represent.
- Keeping financial and legally required records: compliance with applicable legal obligations.
- Protecting the website and handling complaints: our legitimate interests in a secure service, resolving issues and establishing or defending legal claims.
- Optional marketing or optional technologies requiring consent: consent where required. An enquiry is not consent to receive unrelated marketing.
We consider your interests and rights when relying on legitimate interests. Sensitive information requires an additional legal condition as well as an ordinary lawful basis; the general enquiry form is not intended to collect it.
Who may receive information
Access is limited to people who need it for the relevant purpose. Website enquiries are monitored by Andrew and Noel. Our website platform, Odoo, and our email and IT service providers process information needed to operate the website and communications.
Where relevant to an agreed service, necessary information may also be shared with authorised trainers, delivery partners, professional advisers or a course awarding body. We explain the applicable arrangements before the service begins. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it or where necessary and lawful to protect people or establish legal claims.
We do not sell personal information. Visiting our LinkedIn page takes you to a separate service whose own privacy and cookie arrangements apply.
Storage, security and international processing
We use proportionate access controls and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Cloud suppliers may use infrastructure or support outside the UK. Where this involves a restricted international transfer, an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards must be in place. You can ask us for information about the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information. Sending an enquiry is not treated as blanket consent to international transfers.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become client relationships: normally up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted or anonymised unless a specific continuing need justifies retention.
- Client and contract records: relevant records may be retained for up to seven years after the relationship ends, taking account of accounting obligations, complaints and potential legal claims. This does not mean every item of information is kept for seven years.
- Other records: retention is based on the purpose, legal requirements and necessity. Any separate training or project retention arrangements will be explained where applicable.
If a legal hold or unresolved dispute requires longer retention, we restrict use to the relevant purpose. You can ask about the retention period for a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your information, correct inaccuracies, erase information, restrict its use or receive certain information in a portable format. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Contact us using the details above. Requests do not have to use a particular form or be made in writing. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where a lawful extension applies, we explain it.
Website enquiries are reviewed by people, not used to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Questions or complaints
Please contact hello@nurtur-ed.com if you have a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113. You do not have to complain to us first.
