Illustrative practical learning session in a community setting

Training

Confidence
to respond.

Practical training for the situations where people need more than good intentions. We help your teams recognise concerns, respond appropriately and understand the limits of their role, whether they are supporting colleagues, working in Education or visiting people in their homes.

Find the right training

Real situations.
Practical skills.

Choose a programme to explore the learning that fits your people, their responsibilities and the situations they encounter.

01 / In the Field Safeguarding

A routine visit can reveal something that matters.

Practical safeguarding awareness for technical and field teams.

Engineers, technicians, surveyors and tradespeople enter homes and community settings every day. They may notice signs of distress, isolation or a safeguarding concern without knowing what to do next.

In the Field Safeguarding helps them recognise concerns, respond within their role and follow your organisation's reporting procedures. It connects practical awareness with the policies and support routes your people need to use.

What your team will learn
  • Recognising signs that someone may need support.
  • Responding professionally and with appropriate boundaries.
  • Following safeguarding and reporting procedures.
  • Understanding signposting and support routes.
  • Looking after their own wellbeing following difficult encounters.
Built around your organisation

We begin with your operating context and existing policies. Live, interactive virtual sessions connect learning to the situations your team encounters. Policy review, tailored toolkits and refresher support can be agreed as additional elements.

The purpose is not to turn technical staff into clinicians or safeguarding investigators. It is to help them notice, respond appropriately and report through the right channels.

Connecting awareness,
reporting and evidence.

Our plans include a simple reporting app for operators and technical staff. The intention is to help people record concerns through an agreed process and help organisations understand how the training is being used in practice.

Alongside appropriate follow-up and outcome information, this could support evidence of social value delivered. Reporting activity alone would not demonstrate that a positive outcome had been achieved. Sensitive safeguarding information would need to be protected and kept separate from aggregated social value reporting.

02 / Conflict Resolution and De-escalation

Reduce tension.
Keep clear boundaries.

For teams in Business and Education.

Our own course helps people understand what drives conflict and practise ways to respond when conversations become difficult. It combines empathy with clear boundaries, helping staff approach challenging situations without accepting abusive behaviour.

What the course covers

Explore the relationship between fear, anger and escalation, practise listening and de-escalating language, and use realistic situations to develop a more considered response. Reflection between sessions helps participants connect learning with their own experience.

How it is delivered

Two sessions with time between them for reflection and practice. Discussion and practical exercises support participation. We agree the timing and final arrangements with your organisation.

Choose from the course suite to fit the people your team supports and the level of learning they need.

From learning to practice

What happens after the course matters too.

Training has greater value when people understand how to use it. We help you consider the roles, procedures and support that enable learning to become part of everyday practice.

Where training forms part of a social value commitment, we can help define the intended benefit and how delivery will be evidenced. Attendance shows that training took place. Understanding what changed in practice requires more than a completion record.
